TimeIPS continuously improves and extends the system and software. These improvements fall into three categories: Major Version Updates, Minor Version Updates and Modules.

Review extent of changes and needed preparation with TimeIPS Support. Schedule a time for the update. Update will process automatically when released and usually takes 1-2 hours.
Varies by the content of the update. Usually, updates will apply automatically without any intervention. In order to minimize any chance for unexpected changes, some non-critical updates will only apply as-needed or on request.
Installs automatically overnight after purchase. If Major Version update is required, update will be required before module can be used.

TimeIPS data is critical and we strongly recommend regular backups for all TimeIPS systems. Backups are easy to create, just click on System -> Backups and select "Create Backup." A single backup is good, but as new data comes into TimeIPS every day, a complete backup solution makes backups daily and stores in a secure off-site location. The TimeIPS off-site backup service provides this option in a convenient and easy-to-use package.
TimeIPS servers typically include 12 months of automatic off-site backups. By extending your off-site backup account, you can ensure that backups are being made each day and are stored off-site where they can be accessed to restore your system and/or where they can be accessed by TimeIPS technical support for you in the event that your system or facility were to become inaccessible. Off-site backups provide an affordable, reliable and hassle-free way to ensure you have the data you need, when you need it.
The TimeIPS off-site backup service can be purchased in a variety of file-size designations based on the amount of data stored in your TimeIPS server. As the number of employees and the amount of clock data stored grows over time, you may need to upgrade your backup account to a larger file-size.

TimeIPS hardware typically includes 12 months of limited warranty coverage (see license/warranty agreement for details). The warranty service can be extended at any time during the initial warranty period. An extended warranty is the most cost-effective way to allow TimeIPS to repair or replace any components of your TimeIPS system that wear out or have any other difficulty. Each TimeIPS system includes an allotment of technical support time to assist with the initial installation/configuration and to answer questions regarding the use of the system's features and capabilities.

As well, our online Knowledge Base with comprehensive information regarding each of the TimeIPS features, including step-by-step instructions for using each, is available, free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at http://support.timeips.com.
TimeIPS Technical Support can provide telephone and e-mail based assistance for any aspect of the installation and configuration of your TimeIPS system. In most cases the included time is more than sufficient. For some organizations with complex policies and/or requirements, additional time may be needed. Additional technical support time can be purchased in blocks ranging from 30 minutes to 50 hours.
