Exporting Employee, Department or Site Information
Employee, Department, and Site Information can be exported from TimeIPS into a spreadsheet application. The data can be used for reporting purposes, or to adjust then update the records in TimeIPS. The TimeIPS Employee Import and Export optional module is required.
Security Level Required: Employee Administrator or Payroll Administrator
Using the left pane Main Menu, click on: Administration » Employee Management » Import/Export
- Select the data to be exported in the Export pull-down.
- Click on the Export Data button. A File Download or similar page displays:
NOTE: Your screen may look different than the screen above, depending on your computer's operating system.
- Select to Save the file to disk and save it in an easy-to-find location such as your desktop. A "Save As" or similar screen displays:
- Double-click on the file to open the saved export file in your spreadsheet application or import the file into the applicable application.
NOTE: Some spreadsheet applications do not extend columns enough, designated in numeric columns with "######". Click and drag the column's right margin to manually extend it.
