Set Volume and Contrast
The Network Clock is primarily used to clock in and out. The clock also offers a System Menu which can be used to configure the device and access other functions. This article covers how to Set the Volume and Contrast.
The screen contrast and volume are software controlled in the IPS125T series clocks. (If you use the older IPS120T series clocks, volume and contrast are controlled with knobs on the bottom of the unit.)
The default setting for volume works well for standard office environments If the TimeIPS clock is used in a quiet or noisy area, the volume may need to be adjusted. To do this, enter the system menu by pressing Enter without entering a badge number on the main screen. Then, select "Set Volume." Each time you press Enter on either Volume Up or Volume Down, a test sound will play to indicate the current volume.
The default setting for screen contrast works well for standard temperatures and viewing angles. If the TimeIPS clock is used in cool or warm environment, and/or the clock is located significantly above or below eye level, the LCD screen may need to have the contrast adjusted. To do this, enter the system menu by pressing Enter without entering a badge number on the main screen. Then, select "Set Contrast." Each time you press Enter on either Contrast Up or Contrast Down, the screen contrast will adjust slightly.
