3.0 to 3.1 Migration Guide
TimeIPS version 3.1.x offers upgrades and improvements over version 3.0.x. To make the most of the new version, please review the following changes:
Note: Some of the items listed require optional modules, which may or may not be listed in the description of the change.
Managers may need to be aware of the following:
- Additional detail is now available on accruals in the ledger by hovering over the automatic accrual entry. In addition, accruals that are zero duration will now show, with hover-details on why ther accrual is zero, for example due to a waiting period, insufficient work to qualify, etc.
- On the Benefits Approval page, the "disapprove" option is now the first click, and "approve" is on the second click. This new order ensures it is possible to disapprove a benefit where approving it would invalidate a payroll.
- Many admin pages, including Employees, Sites, Jobs, etc., now have a green bar at the top than can be clicked to add a new entity. In some cases this replaces an icon or other button/link.
Administrators should know
- To avoid confusion, times shown for a managed division/company will now show in their own time zone, even when viewed by a manager from a higher-level division with a different time zone.
- Benefit Types and Subclasses can be selected when creating Benefit Alerts to provide more customized alerts on benefit activity.
- Employment History has been added as an export option on the Employee Import/Export page
